notly has grown up a lot.

i released a big update for the notly chrome extension. it helps you read web pages, analyze selected text, ask questions about the content of the current tab and get clear answers directly in the side panel.

in this version, notly became more than just a convenient ai tool. it is now a more complete product with accounts, a subscription and a proper payment flow.

what is new

google sign-in

now you can sign in to notly with a google account.

this is needed so limits and subscription status are tied to the user, not to a single device. pro status will stay available across devices.

notly pro

notly pro subscription has been added.

it removes daily limits and unlocks more flexible use of the extension. the interface now has an upgrade screen, account status and active subscription display.

payments through lava.top

notly is now integrated with lava.top.

after payment, the server receives a webhook and automatically activates pro status for the user.

streaming answers

answers now appear gradually as they are generated.

you no longer have to wait until the ai fully finishes the answer. this makes working with notly feel much nicer, especially for long questions and youtube videos.

youtube improvements

the summarize button now appears more reliably on youtube pages.

video questions also work through the new streaming mode.

improved interface

i also fixed many small things:

• updated account state;
• improved limit display;
• fixed plan pricing;
• made the upgrade flow clearer;
• improved button behavior and ready-made prompts;
• prepared the extension for publishing in the chrome web store.

what comes next

right now, the main goal is to carefully bring notly to release, collect feedback and keep improving answer quality, video support and pro features.

notly is slowly becoming the tool i want to use every day myself: open a page, ask a question, get a clear answer and stay in the same tab.
